Biometrics Institute launches 2015 Industry Survey with updated and refreshed questions to assess market trends

Sydney/ London 12 May 2015 - The Biometrics Institute has launched its 2015 Industry Survey asking members and key stakeholders to provide input on the current status and expected future developments of the biometrics industry.

In its 6th year, this industry survey assesses trends and developments in the biometrics industry. The results of the survey will provide some projections and expectations for the performance of the industry in the coming year and reveal areas for development and research.

The survey is being circulated to all members of the Biometrics Institute and other key stakeholders. Members of the Biometrics Institute will receive a free copy of the full report through the website at www.biometricsinstitute.org, others can request an executive summary.

"The biometrics industry continues to grow and develop and with over 180 member organisations representing over 600 individuals plus over 5000 contacts in our network, the Biometrics Institute is well placed to capture the thinking of the biometrics world and gauge levels of uptake," Isabelle Moeller, Chief Executive of the Biometrics Institute explains, "Based on changes in the industry and feedback from our members, this year's survey has been significantly updated and refreshed. We are particularly  excited to see what developments the industry expects to see over the next 12 months."

The Biometrics Institute is the independent and impartial international forum for biometrics users and other interested parties with currently over 180 member organisations from around the world including government departments, financial services institutions, health service providers and also vendors of biometric products and services.

It has been established to promote the responsible use of biometrics technologies.
