ANA Airports of Portugal, SA and Vision-Box® SA enter partnership to implement smart access control solutions at Lisbon Airport.
Lisbon, 16-01-2013 - ANA Airports of Portugal, SA and Vision-Box ® SA, the world leader in biometric eGate solutions, installed boarding eGates in Terminal 1 at Lisbon Airport, to validate passenger access to the Departure Lounge. This new service is operational and available to all passengers since December 21st, 2012.
Vision-Box’s innovative vb i-match® check-point gates will enable faster and automated processing of passengers, by validating their boarding pass, whatever the format used - paper or electronic (smartphone / PDA).
This new concept, currently in its pilot phase, will enable a more expedite self-service process at the airport’s checkpoints, opening the way to increased passenger flow, more control and a much better traveler experience.
According to João Nunes, Director of Lisbon Airport, "This partnership allows ANA to offer the most advanced technologies in the implementation of self-service solutions for passengers in complete alignment with the IATA TRAVEL FAST program, which is also supported by the ACI."
