Thank you for taking the time to read our Non-Conventional Threat (NCT) newsletter. The NCT newsletter is aimed at professionals in the fields of CBRNe and IED to keep you informed on our upcoming events and other relevant topics. Now we are proud to give you an update on our first events in 2014 and the NCT CBRNe Awards 2014! The NCT series of events are IB Consultancy's flagship events, covering the non-conventional threat and supporting Homeland Security professionals and military in their fight against CBRNe threats. IB Consultancy is proud to launch its monthly Non-Conventional Threat Briefings in Brussels starting on the 19th of February at the Aloft Hotel from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on the topic of “US Cyber-espionage on the EU institutions and Member States: towards an International cyber warfare?” NCT Briefings comprise a unique overview of salient security threats that matter for the European Union; a vigorous exchange of views between two guest speakers with opposing views on EU Security and Defence issues; a lively debate with the audience. The inaugural edition NCT Maritime Border Security and Biometrics will take place 29-30 April in the European Union’s latest new member state: The Republic of Croatia. The event will take place at Le Méridien Hotel, Split, Croatia and will include a two day conference as well as a Maritime Security demonstration in the port of Split. NCT Maritime Border Security and Biometrics features high-level speakers from the military, government and academia. The key themes that will be presented and discussed will include: preparedness and surveillance of coast and critical infrastructure, container inspection and tracking, biometric control of port personnel, seafarers and passengers as well as threat assessment and intelligence sharing. The event will also provide an outstanding demonstration of Maritime Security in the port of Split. The first event of our NCT event series in 2014 joins the 4th edition of the Kiev International Protection, Security and Fire Safety (KIPS) which will take place on 3-6 March 2014 in Kiev, Ukraine.   NCT eXplosive Asia in Cambodia

The third edition of Asia’s leading C-IED and EOD event, NCT eXplosive Asia 2014, is coming to Cambodia! Taking place May 6 - 8, 2014 at the Le Meridien Angkor in Siem Reap, this outstanding three day event will include an EOD demonstration as well as two days of conference and trainings just next to the magnificent temples of Angkor Wat. Registrations for the NCT CBRNe Awards are welcomed between 15 January and 16 May 2014. Afterwards, a distinguished jury will decide on this year’s nominees, which will be announced to the public in June. This year’s NCT CBRNe Awards will be handed out during a spectacular Awards Ceremony in October 2014 during the NCT CBRNe Asia 2014 conference. The jury panel will be chaired by Mr. Guy Roberts (Former Deputy Assistant Secretary General for WMD Policy at NATO).
