3rd Annual Identity Management Symposium

Identity Intelligence and Biometric Effectiveness for Resilient National Security Capabilities

April 19-20, 2016 - Mary M. Gates Learning Center, Alexandria, VA

DSI ID Management 2016

DSI’s 3rd Annual Identity Management Symposium is designed as an educational and training “Town Hall” forum, where thought leaders and key policy-makers across military and civilian organizations can come together for actionable discussions and debate. The 2016 Identity Management Symposium will focus on the recent challenges, solutions and innovations in the field of Identity Management and Biometrics. The symposium will focus on how these fields support DoD and Federal Missions and ultimately improve national security.

Why Should you Attend the Symposium?

  • Forensics and biometrics provide DoD and federal civilian organizations with critical capabilities to help identify threats, reduce costs, and target valuable resources where they are needed. Advances in identity intelligence allow for discovery of unknown potential threat actors by connecting individuals to other persons, places, events, or materials, analyzing patterns of life, and characterizing their level of potential threats to US interests. The Government is actively seeking improvements to current systems and new approaches to improve identity intelligence in support of national security.
  • The symposium will provide valuable information on efforts from the policy and operational communities on how the US Government plans to integrate biometrics with other tools, both existing and in R&D to support defense and homeland security operations and improve the efficiency of Government organizations.
  • The United States government has identified numerous challenges that face the growing Biometrics field. Combining speed and proper authentication procedures, as well as trying to maximize mobile capabilities has come to the forefront of the identity management conversation. The Biometrics industry has changed the face of border security in our country as more attempts have been made to identify special interest targets by their D.N.A and biographical features, as opposed to more conventional measures like a passport. This symposium will identify the new modes of authentication that DoD Agencies as well as industry leaders have come to develop in order to promote greater security and access measures.
  • DSI’s team specializes in the extensive research and development of our summits' content and focus areas, and we will assemble the most respected minds in the community from operational leaders, the R&D Community, key policy-makers, as well as solution providers from industry and academia. Our non-partisan approach allows us to reach across all involved organizations to bring together a truly holistic group of decision makers and solution providers.
