Secutech celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2012
New pavilions and market platforms reflect industry trends

Secutech, Asia's leading security exhibition which offers a total solution to security channels and business units, will be celebrating its 15th edition in 2012.
The show, organised by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, will be held from 18 – 22 April 2012 at Nangang Exhibition Center, Taipei, Taiwan and is expected to house 560 exhibitors in an exhibition space of more than 35,000 sqm.
More than 26,000 professional buyers from around the world are expected to attend this event to find the latest products, services and technology.
Highlighted Pavilions
- The world grandest IP Security and HD Surveillance pavilions feature more than 3,000 IP security and HD surveillance solutions.
- The 900 sqm Access Control/Biometric Pavilion stand out to be the biggest in Asia displaying a complete range of products and services
- The debut of Vehicle security Pavilion showcases mobile cameras, mobile DVRs, ANPR cameras, plate recognition systems and GPS systems.
Mr Parson Lee, Managing Director, Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd said: "We expect to attract over 26,000 professional buyers from around the world to our 2012 show. Buyers will be able to source partnerships with manufacturers and find the latest products and services from the electronic and information and fire and safety industries."
Mr Lee added that the industry had shown strong market confidence evidenced by the fact that 23,782 professional buyers from 95 countries and regions visited Secutech 2011 and that 80% of buyers indicated that Secutech was a "must-see" trade fair.
New pavilions and market platforms reflect industry trends
In response to market demand for vehicle security products, Secutech is organising a new Vehicle Security pavilion which will showcase mobile cameras, mobile DVRs, ANPR cameras, plate recognition systems and GPS systems.
Other pavilions at the show will include the return of the IP Security and HD Surveillance pavilions which will feature more than 3,000 IP security and HD surveillance solutions. This will be one of the world's biggest sourcing grounds for megapixel, HD cameras, NVR video software, IP equipment, and video storage and recording.
In addition, the 900 sqm Access Control/Biometric Pavilion will showcase a complete range of products and services such as IP readers, IP access control solutions, e-home systems, face recognition access control systems, fingerprint biometric systems, palm vein technology, intercoms and electronic magnetic locks. Security auditing solutions such as RFID products and technologies will also be displayed at the pavilion.
Also new to the fair will be the Fi-Asia (First in Asia) platform where manufacturers can present their latest products and first-hand market news to buyers.
Seminars present the latest market information
The popular GDSF Asia (Global Digital Surveillance Forum) will take place during Secutech 2012. During the professional forum, experts will share the latest technology, applications and market trends. In addition, the "More, Innovation and Design Award", which highlights the best innovative products, will be presented.
Running at the same time as Secutech is Composec which focuses on the origins of new security technology. As well as featuring leading brands such as Intersil/Techwell, LG, Strech, Texas Instrument and Western Digital, Composec's seminars will cover topics such as high definition surveillance, intelligent identification and green security.

Global Digital Surveillance Forum, a key event at Secutech 2012
One of the key events at Secutech 2012 taking place 18 – 20 April 2012 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre, Taiwan, will be the influential Global Digital Surveillance Forum (GDSF).
Organised by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, Secutech 2012 is Asia's leading security exhibition which is expected to attract 560 exhibitors and 26,000 visitors from 100 countries and regions. This important industry sourcing platform will cover 35,800 sqm showcasing the latest security, fire and safety products and technologies.
Running concurrently with the show will be a fringe programme which includes the highly respected GDSF organised by a&s Magazines. GDSF is a security application conference, providing a unique platform for security product manufacturers to explore applications and market trends. The forum is expected to attract security system integrators, IT system integrators, security channel players as well as end-users.

GDSF will focus on three main tracks:
• The next of IP megapixel surveillance Key issues of IP surveillance such as IPv6, mobile security, cloud computing, and practical tactics such as hybrid projects, SLOC structure and the integration with IP access control will be introduced. Beneficial for any system integrators and installers working in IP surveillance.
• HD SDI / 3G SDI surveillance in the real world Every facet of HD SDI will be covered, including low light surveillance, remote transmission and video management from composition, performance, integration, solution. This track will help attendees gain insight into HD SDI.
• The Essentials in IP and HD Surveillance The essentials in IP and HD surveillance will be discussed including issues relating to 960H, sever-grade storage, wireless transmission, PSIM and other solutions.
