We are delighted that the World Border Security Congress will take place in Madrid, Spain on 20th-22nd March 2018 and, as we get closer to the event preparations are in place for an exciting discussion and programme. Special Border Agency Registration - Early Bird deadline 20th February
 The World Border Security Congress is FREE (for registration before 20th February) and open for members of federal government, border management agencies, law enforcement or inter-governmental agencies in border security, management and protection. Applications will be reviewed and considered on an individual basis. Delegates are requested to register early to ensure participation.

AU-ECOSOCC to host Workshop at World Border Security Congress
 The Social Affairs & Health Cluster Committee of the African Union Economic, Social and Cultural Council (AU-ECOSOCC) will be hosting of Side Event on the margins of the 2018 World Border Security Congress on the theme of "Migration - Creating Opportunities for Young People In Africa". Further details will be announced soon.

Closed Agency Only Workshops
The World Border Security Congress aims to promote collaboration, inter-agency cooperation and information/intelligence sharing amongst border agencies and agencies at the border to better engage and tackle the increasing threats and cross border security challenges that pertain in today's global environment.
Closed Agency Workshop topics announced at this years Congress will be:

Organization for Security & Co-operation in Europe supports World Border Security Congress
 The organisers of World Border Security Congress have announced the support of the Organization for Security & Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) for next year’s World Border Security Congress.
They also announced that Director of the Transnational Threats Department, Rasa Ostrauskaite, will deliver an opening keynote speech, as well as moderating the Closed Agency Only Workshop "Challenges in the Mediterranean".
