a&s Magazine Announces 2013 Security 50 Ranking

a&s recently announced the prestigious Security 50 ranking in the November issue of a&s International and Asia, proudly highlighting 2013's top 50 achievers in the physical, electronic security industry. The annual ranking is built upon pure product sales of the previous year. This year's leaders contributed to approximately 68% of the world's hardware and software sales in 2012, with an average revenue growth rate of 12.3%.

The impact has not gone unnoticed. Tens of thousands of industry stakeholders, practitioners, solution providers, channel partners and procurers/perchasers/buyers utilize the ranking in their search for the most cost-effective solutions that address their customers' needs and reliable partners that they can develop their business with. a&s is proud to be the facilitator and medium of choice for more than a decade.

As in any industry, competition plays a critical role in driving overall evolution and revolution. Highlighting the achievements of the top performers of this past year, Honeywell Security has again topped the chart at a whopping $2,500 million. Following not far behind are innovators Bosch Security Systems, Safran (Security Products), Hikvision Digital Technology, Assa Abloy (Global Technologies), Axis Communications, Flir Systems (Thermal Vision and Measurements), Samsung Techwin, Dahua Technology and Tyco Security Products, to name a few.

The Top 10 have remained the same as on the previous ranking, but with minor reshuffling. Two of the power players are from China — Hikvision (4th) and Dahua (9th) — signaling strong momentum in their home market and emerging markets around the globe.
These 50 companies have not only achieved remarkable revenue and profit growth, but also made headway in their focused markets technologies and partnerships. We salute these industry leaders who showed they have what it takes to weather the storm, ride the wave and set the trend.
