Critical Infrastructure Protection and Resilience Asia

Developing resilient infrastructure for a secure future

Today’s modern economies and improving living standards rely more and more on the development and security of a country’s critical infrastructure.

How would your country cope in the event of a dirty bomb or if it suffered a natural or man-made disaster impacting on its key infrastructure?

Southeast Asia has seen a rise in insurgency-related attacks and terrorist activities, creating uncertainty and insecurity on critical national infrastructure. Climate change has also seen more extreme weather patterns, creating additional hazardous, unseasonal and unpredictable conditions and a severe strain on infrastructure.

A terrorist attack, or the impact of a natural disaster against key national infrastructure could have a catastrophic impact on the country and regions economy. The proper functioning of a nations critical infrastructure is vital to the interests of any society. At this year’s Critical Infrastructure Protection and Resilience Asia leading experts from around the world will discuss the threats both in the physical and cyber domains and how to mitigate those threats.

Critical Infrastructure Protection & Resilience Asia, taking place in Bangkok, Thailand on 5th-6th October 2016,  will bring together leading stakeholders from industry, operators, agencies and governments to collaborate on securing Asia. The conference will look at developing existing national or international legal and technical frameworks, integrating good risk management, strategic planning and implementation.
